The City of Auburn Civil Service Commission has announced the date for the next Police Officer entrance exam. For the last exam, the Harriet Tubman Center for Justice and Peace worked proactively with the Civil Service Commission and the Auburn Police Department (APD) to help spread the word. That partnership and actions resulted in a better than average number of registrants to take the exam. APD needs our help again. More importantly, they need the entire community to help spread the word.
Please share the info below to your social media platforms and e-mail distribution lists. Once again, the objective is to increase the number of registrants over last year especially among those folks who have not been traditionally and adequately represented in the ranks of local police officers. If we want to see a more diverse community-driven police force, we have to get the word out. Our focus is to help identify and encourage people to take the police officer entrance exam.
